Rios is an artist and educator working with physical and digital media. He uses sound, lighting, programming, and various fabrication techniques to make devices, installations, and interactions. He is interested in exploring expressive applications of technology, examining the physical relationships between people and machines, and using art and technology to foster collaboration.
Rios is currently a Professor at NYU's ITP and IMA program. Previously he wrote curriculum for NYC's CS4All physical computing initiative, taught at the City College of New York, and was an assistant manager of digital tools at the Parsons Making Center @ The New School.
